Jackson Hole Picnic Areas
Head to Teton Village and hike the Wildflower Trail to access a unique picnic spot halfway on the trail. Take a break at the shaded picnic table and soar through the air on the tree swing while taking in the mountain views. There is only one picnic table here, so we recommend heading out early to ensure your spot.
Ride up the gondola to access the high-altitude hiking trail, Cirque Trail, which connects Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Bridger-Teton, and Grand Teton. This difficult trail travels to and from the summit of Rendezvous Mountain and includes a picnic table near the Bridger Gondola. Skip the hike and take your family to the Solitude Station Patio for a picnic at the fire pit area.
Bridger Teton Picnic Areas
Offering 3.4 million acres of land, the Bridger Teton National Forest offers several picturesque picnic areas near Jackson Hole. The Jackson Ranger District is the most easily accessible option from our cabin rentals. Access the Cache Creek Picnic Area two miles from town and set up your picnic at the trailhead or ¼ mile into the trail.
Have a picnic on the shores of the wild and scenic Hoback River at the Hoback Picnic Area. This area is a 21-mile drive from Jackson and offers incredible views of the surrounding canyons and water from the picnic tables.
Grand Teton Picnic Areas
If you are already planning a trip to Grand Teton National Park, we encourage you to add one of the scenic picnic areas to your itinerary. The closest picnic area to our resort is the Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area, found 15 miles away. Enjoy several picnic areas with inspiring views of cottonwood trees and the creek below. Further South is the String Lake Picnic Area, the park's largest and most popular picnic area.
